I was just curious how others plan to recycle their calendars?  I'm making envelopes and cards with mine.

Our calendar from last year was cheap and crappy, so that when you got past the staples in July the pages would curl over.  (One of those $1 calendars from Michaels).  I ended up taking it down in September.

But I recycled some of the pages in a collage I made about our wedding, it was a roses calendar, and it's the top left corner and the bottom right corner.

I've kept all my past calendars with te hopes of one day doing something with them but so far I'm out of luck. Last year I had a Nemo calendar and really need to do something with october, which had a picture of Peach, my favourite character (nemo's cute, but really, what can beat a bright pink starfish?).

So yeah, ideas are cool because I have none, other than putting it on my wall, which is kinda boring.

I have decided that the hokey pokey is what it's all about.

omg..chelsea, that's gorgeous...

i keep on faithfully storing my calendars in the hope that inspiration will hit me and i will find something to do with them. i guess you could wrap small gifts in them, make envelopes/stationery, etc...  when i was in college and i used to handwrite (vs. email) to a lot more people, i made all the envelopes out of magazines and stuff. but nobody i know wants to take the time to write notes anymore.

i am also hoping to incorporate them into my scrapbooking at some point.

"But why don't you scream now?" Alice asked, holding her hands ready to put over her ears again.

"Why, I've done all the screaming already," said the Queen. "What would be the good of having it all over again?"

I decoupaged my ugly boring desk:

I left the center empty so I could have a smooth writing/drawing surface.

Pam: "Okay, if I have to do this, based on stereotypes which are totally untrue, that I do not agree with, you're maybe not a  very good driver."
Dwight: "Aww, Man! Am I a WOMAN!?"

chelsea - your collage is so sweet & beautiful and potatovixen I would have never believed those images were from a calendar.  I've been using my artists calendars as envelopes but from 2005 I have this great datebook/calendar of Paris landmarks.  I just love the photos and paper is super heavy - great for something - but what???

Maybe some sort of shrine?  I'm not crafting much right now - seems my juicy crafting spirit has taken off and all my attempts are crap.  But here is a link to some collage cards I made from 2004-03 calendar pics I had laying around.

to see the whole thing use these links.   https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=75096.0

parisgirl- i have the same picture as your icon (the positive rather than the negative) on my closet doors. I printed it HUGE in sections and pasted it up. I love it because it makes me feel like I have a little bit of paris at home  Smiley

I don't really have new ideas besides the ones already given. Maybe use them as book covers? or book marks...

In the past, I've used the images from calendars along with iron-on vinyl to make purses & wallets. I also took a pic from a vintage New York calendar and decoupaged it to a painted wine bottle lamp I made.

hold on -

Iron on vinyl - why have I never heard of this?Huh?  Sounds amazing.  I'm going to be searching the threads today for information.  Thanks dayzi for the idea!

Nix Kisses, yes, I love the picture on my avatar...I changed it a bit to make it more "original"  Do you know there is a rubber stamp with that image?  I'll try to track it down and send you the info in a PM.  Such a beautiful city and a beautiful structure.
