I was recently given a swap angel in a swap I was in. (on December 20th) I think she may be missing in action. I haven't PM'd her yet because I feel wierd about bothering her since she is doing me & the organizer of the swap a favor by offering to craft me something. The organizer already gave her positive feedback too. I would rather just let the whole thing go but I don't think that it's fair for her to be signing up as an angle and then flaking on people. Am I being too pushy? Should I just drop it?

You definetly shouldnt drop it. Seeing that she volunteered to be an Angel she should fulfill the duty. Have you spoken with the organizer? The organizer might have given her a time frame to send the package or might have other info about it. I would contact the organizer before I contact her. Hope you get it all worked out!  Undecided

the organizer said that she would be contacting me. I checked and she hasn't posted since the 10th of Dec. So maybe something is wrong. I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt. I don't want to be a pain in the arse either.  Undecided

Definetly don't let it go. Cause if your angel flaked, you'll still need an angel. The organizer shouldn't have given her positive feedback yet. Because if she hasn't sent, it doesn't make her an angel, just someone who said they were going to do it, and didn't.
If you would like to PM me with more details on the situation, I'd be glad to help you out with it.  Smiley

You are so nice. I think I'll PM her (as soon as my backbone grows in) and see what's up....

I organize a swap.  Someone flakes.  I get a swap angel to make up for the flaker.  Now the swap angel disappear.  I know swap angel is a volunteering type of thing.  What should I do about the disappeared swap angel?

I just want to complete and close out the swap.  So I am just going to make another package and send it out.

Well that sucks, maybe the angel has forgotten about it? Have they been online?
I wonder what you do when a swap angel 'flakes' Huh It makes it even worse for the person who was flaked on as they have already been waiting so long, and another person could have been an angel for them in the meantime and they would have gotten a package! Sad

I had this happen to me, where someone offered to be my angel and then never pm'd me or logged onto craftster again. After waiting several weeks, I notified PInkMafia (since the swap organizer was also awol), who reposted the angel request and found another angel for me.

Have you hugged your mod today? Smiley

I was in the crazy for mental wellness swap and my partner never bothered to thank me for what I sent and never sent me a package.   So I got a so-called angel.  Turns out the "angel" can't commit or some such thing and has basically left me to it.  This is the second swap where I've needed an angel (I haven't received from the first one either) and I'm so bloody peed off.  WHY sign up to be an angel if there's no chance you're going to send a package?  I almost want to pm this person and ask.  She didn't say that anything had happened, just that she couldn't finish anything.  I know that people have lives, but come on!   Like I said, why be an angel in the first place?  Actually, I'm more sad than peed off.  The mental wellness swap was about making people feel better about the crap they have to live with and I've ended up feeling worse.

Just wanted a moan, sorry.  Anyone else had this happen to them?
