How 'bout a plastic challenge, focusing on the plastics that are non-recyclable such as lids to hair products, deodorants, soda bottles, etc. Many times the containers are ok to go in recycling but not the lids!  Also small parts of toys, disposable razors, 'dead' pens, broken hair accessories, anything that would end up in a landfill and outlast cockroaches and taxes!  Glue and paint would be allowed of course, but otherwise it would be totally cost-free, and good for the environment.  To make it more challenging, the project could be functional as well as decorative.  Just a thought...TishaLee

Hi, I am new to this, so bare with me, Just wanted to share a plastic idea that I saw a lady doing on our local news and thought what a bright idea ! She cut strips of the plastic grocery bags and then crocheted ( like with yarn ) and made them into rugs. Really looked neat. I haven't tried this myself but would like to. She said it took quite a few grocery bags and easy to clean......I thought someone maybe interested in trying this out too !   Wink
