i finally finished this last night. i think i started on last thursday... it is my own design.. simple construction... its knit from bernat softee chunky on 5.5mm needles.. it was a FAST knit... and now i have a new sweater!
onwards with the pics!

i took inspiration from my shrugs that i make and everyone going.. "wheres the rest of the sweater?" so i knit the rest of the sweater.... its fits like a charm and i feel its goign to get lots of use...

so what you all think? fun?

I like the rest of your sweater! It made a cute shrug too.

love LOVE the colors, and cheap soft yarn.  Whenever I wear a shrug, my girlfriend always asks me what I did with my sweater bottom.  I bet you'll wear it lots.

That looks so cool with the stripes.

Did you make a shrug and then pick up stitches to make the body? And how is the hood done?

i made the arms and made it like how i make shrugs.. and i was debating if i wanted to pick up stitches around the bottom but then i decided i didnt have any circulars that would work and i didnt want to hold off on making it so i decided just to do it on straight needles figured out my gauge and measurements and did some math and then cast on for the back and then the 2 sides.. then its all sewn together and then sewn to the shrug...

the hood is 75 stitches just stocking knit up for..uhh i dont have my notes with me but its a big rectangle that when folded in half and stitched up the top makes a hood... then that is just stitched to the neck line area of the shrug...
then i sewed a zipper in. made pockets and there ya have it.. the pockets were easy too...

i can write out better instructions but its really basic..
