I started making this 3 months ago, but i finished it this week.  it's one of my work outfits, since it's pretty much cheaper to make my own, rather than buy them.  i really dig the material, but since i started it 3 months ago, it doesn't fit now.  i hate that.

Wow!  I think it looks great.  Looks like you could have bought it in a department store.  Good job.

that's a really nice dress, by any chance what pattern did you make it from or did you draft it all by yourself?

i understand the not fitting part. i took an old pair of jeans apart to make a skirt and then after i did i realized why i didn't wear them in the first place. they are at least 4 inches too small in the waist..hence not gonna work as a skirt..hehe oops. sux to being a student. Tongue

edit: great dress btw forgot to say that Smiley

photo: ha...draft?  isn't that the thing that they make you go to war?  it's Simplicity 5452, view F.  i was going to do the other view with long sleeves, since i started this dress when i was cold, but since tomorrow is forecasted at 90degrees, i'm glad i left the sleeves out.  it's a really easy pattern.  the only annoying thing is the 22 inch zipper, since zippers are really annoying regardless of being extra long.

and sarahfroggy oh, i know about being a student, hence why i make my work clothes.  i'm already going into enough debt with student loans, i don't need to add my clothing bill to it.  by the time i'm done, i'll be in debt enough to have bought a middle class single family home.  how sad.

what a great dress!  i bet it looks swell with a white coat!  good work in finding time to craft while schooling.
