I worked forever on this thing and broke a million needles but this skirt is the ugliest thing I ever (EVER) made.

I was going for a gypsy thing but my husband said it looked like something a Hobbitt would wear.

Now I invite all of you to post the ugliest thing YOU ever made!

This should be fun

Omg, that is NOT ugly! I can't tell that well from the pictures, but it looks like a darling shade of green ^^ I'd wear it. And I'm not a hobbit =P

I don't have pictures of my ugliest thing, but I did try to recon a big I <3 NY shirt into a halter top...it didn't turn out That bad, but the sewing was terrible (this is this summer before I really got into DIY) and it was quite skimpy! Eep!

Ok, here goes....I made this skating dress out of scraps of fabric, some glitter paint. Put it up on e-bay for no kidding....99 cents and it sold for over $80.00!!! I felt so bad, I sent the winning buyer a check for $50.00 with the dress. Can't believe what others think is nice!!  UUUGGGHHHHH!!!!!

that is totally beautiful...and your sewing skills put me to shame!  I've looked at your photos of the costumes you make and they are gorgeous.  Even your dud is beautiful!

I have a wist list!

willing to do personal atc swaps! PM me if interested....

I don't mean to sound rude, but I don't think you should have sent a check back for $50.  See, here's the thing:  you obviously put a great deal of time , effort and talent into that dress.  Could the person buy that same dress -similar dress made in a sweat shop in some third world country?  Probably, and for a cheaper amount.  I say you're undermining craftters, artisans in the US, and I guess really everywhere, when it seems you don't value your work.  Do you know what I mean?

ANyhow, I think it's very pretty and looks well sewn.

If that is a dud then I would hate to see something that wasn't! Shocked I'd die from the absolute gorgeous-ness of it! Tongue It looks really nice! And its hand made! Exactly how do you think you went wrong with it? Huh And besides, I've always thought that handmade items are specialer with mistake in them Smiley

PS if you have another dud can you send it to me?? Grin
