I'm interesting in selling my wares in Canada, either through consignment (online or B&M) or at craft fairs. My boyfriend and I (both Americans) are in various stages of preparing to relocate to Canada (he's much further along than I) and have been debating whether I can sell things legitimately.

So, here are my questions:

1. Is the international consignment process relatively the same as consigning within the States? If not, what are the differences/requirements?

2. Can Americans participate in Canadian craft fairs? Is it possible to do so on a visitors' pass? How about with a student visa?

3. If you're on a visitors/student visa, is it still possible to build/maintain consignment relationships with shops on either side of the border?

At this point, I'm just exploring all the options and looking for some friendly advice or suggestions. I'm also looking for some consignment opportunities in the Toronto area.

Thanks!
kat.
