I saw this http://www.anthropologie.com/jump.jsp?itemID=9576&itemType=PRODUCT&iSubCat=309&iMainCat=12 last night, and might be giving it a shot soon.

And a dress, too. But I need to decide which one, because I can't sew all of them.

I've got too much on my plate as of late, but if I was going to do this, I would probably try to copy this shirt:http://www.anthropologie.com/jump.jsp?itemID=9390&itemType=PRODUCT&iSubCat=280&iMainCat=8 in red. It's soo cute. Good luck you guys!

something poignant here.

I'm up for this, and I think I'll try and copy this dress: http://www.anthropologie.com/jump.jsp?itemID=8917&itemType=PRODUCT&iSubCat=1291&iMainCat=17 but alter it a little, with some sleeves perhaps or at least some thicker straps...
All of this is so beautiful I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

This dress is what I have in mind from Anthropologie, and I think I have everything figured out. I love the fact that it is made from cotton, so it be easy to clean, etc. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or means at the moment, but I hope to start on this later this year.

I can't wait to see everyone else's knockoffs!

wooowww.. that's a reaally pretty dress.. Shocked can't believe i didnt see it... well good luck!

i think i want to use jersey or another knit fabric to make my dress....... so i wont have to put a zipper... im still kinda scared of those.... but there's not that many .. most of them look like cotton ..

For a long time, I had my eye on the most gorgeous dress on the Anthropologie website, but I can't find it anymore.  I should have saved a picture of it.  Cry

edit: darn, i even checked ebay.  it was dark solid (jersey, maybe?) sleeveless with a round neckline but the fabric was kind of folded into the neckline... aw, never mind.  darn.

I did a quick search here, and a lot of people have been using them for....um.... inspiration.  I was wondering if maybe people would like to do a sewalong and.........uhm.... .  completely and blatantly rip-off a design with me?  No, that sounds bad.  How could you say that nicely?  Hmmmm...  I'm all for supporting a person's good idea, but I don't have the cash.  So yeah.

It's not exactly that bad... (1) we're not selling the garments we make from INSPRIATION (2) Anthropologie should be flattered we love them so much (3) There are plenty of gals who are not as crafty as we and havd no problems shelling out that kind of cash for an outfit.

I copy designers all the time. The fashion mags arrive in the mail and I tear out the pics and I get to it. It's thrifty.

Now get craftin'!
