Hi everyone,

Could anyone give me guidelines for lenghts for children's necklaces. I make and sell jewellery and have been asked to adapt some of the necklaces for her children by the woman who sells my stuff in her shop. One of her little girls fell in love with a pink one I made. They are beads strung on tigertail. I don't want to make them too long  or to choke the kids! The children are 6 and 8.

I did a search but couldn't find anything,

Thanks Smiley

Make it adjustable!  Put a short length of large-holed chain on the end and the necklace can "grow" with them!

Since adult choker-length necklaces are around 18 inches, I'd say make the child's about 14 -16 inches and add a 4-6 inch "extension"

Have fun!  Please post pics of your creations!

I've made stretchy cord bracelets for little girls, too!  No clasps!
