I had to share this with everyone.  I have never seen this!  I am amazed!  This lady, Neide Ambrosio,  makes all her items by crocheting pop can tabs together.  Some of those bags are truly amazing.  I have made a purse out of pop cans and crochet but not the tabs!  This is definitely on my list of things to experiment with.  I'm in love.

Wow that stuff is all pretty amazing.  I'd be interested in seeing what you come up with.  Maybe I'll play around with the idea too over winter break.  Oh man I can't wait for winter break.

that stuff is very very cool... but i don't understand how she crocheted those things. if you look at the bigger photos, the pop tabs are linked with jump rings or something.... i don't see the crocheted part. at any rate, i love the gold zipper tag bag.

"But why don't you scream now?" Alice asked, holding her hands ready to put over her ears again.

"Why, I've done all the screaming already," said the Queen. "What would be the good of having it all over again?"

Shocked That is soooo amazing!  Looks tedious though.  Maybe I'll have to buy one of...maybe I can get a discount if I offer to trade all the tabs i've saved!

i love neide's work.  pop tab crochet is very popular in brazil for whatever reason, to the extent that they have runway shows dedicated to it and all.  do a google image search for "croche com lacres" or "lacres de latinha" and you'll get tons of cool stuff.  there's also a magazine called "revista arte e moda lacres" and another called "reciclagem" that have lots of ideas, and tons of pics so even if you don't speak portuguese you can still figure it out.
