I received my wish for crocheted flower earrings from dontlookback! But, she did not send me one pair, nor two, nor even three, but FOUR pairs, each a different color. And AND she sent me all the supplies to learn to make them myself, which was actually one of my other wishes, a craft kit for a new skill.  How fantastic is she?!

And I finally got a digital camera for christmas, so ladies and very few gentlemen, my first post with pics:

i got my wish for a monster stuffy from tofutti break last night and it is awesome!

i will try to post pictures tomorrow as my camera seems to work best by daylight, but post 'em if you've got 'em, tofutti!

In case you're wondering, they're CD cases, because I admired her work with them in another swap.... the pink is pinker in real life (thanks to my scanner), and they're made of vinyl...

The colour choice and stars were well chosen for me The other DJs will be jealous

And posting that, I realize all the goodies I've been missing by not regularly attending this gallery ... there's some fantastic stuff! (Ha.. dead fish scarf... witty in a craft way)

  When I was a new knitter (before I forgot all about knitting completely), I made ugly dishcloths for myself out of wildly inappropriate acrylic yarn. 

And that gives me an excellent idea! I've been working on a "swatch" for about 2 months.. ha. It's never perfect enough, and needs redoing everytime. But I could really use some wildy inappropriate dishcloths.

Come on- you never made dishcloths? I was part of a knitting club, and the teacher refused to teach me left handed, so I learned righty, and it was SLOW going.

I succeeded in making about 20 red dishcloths out of this huge skein of acryllic yarn. It must of weighed eight pounds. They were knit on the bias with an almost lacy edging created using yarn overs

(I was six at the time). When I was ten, I sat down with a vogue knitting magazine and taught myself to knit lefty.
