Hey everyone,
I'm one of the planner of NCCOR, and I posted my photos from yesterday here: http://truckertracy-crafts.buzznet.com/user/

We had over 2,600 attendees and for a one-day event I think that is totally mind-blowing (for me anyway). It was lots of work, but was totally worth it. Yay! Now, on to planning the next event!

It seems like you had a very good day. All those happy faces and a crowded place.
Good luck with the next one.

Hi there pumpkingirl!

Just wanted to let you know that I dragged my hubby to the event - it was crazy!  It was SO busy, we could barely see some of the vendors!  =) I'm hoping that you will have a larger venue for the next time, and that it will be just a successful.  Next time I'll show up when the doors open and hope it's a bit quieter - it was quite the challenge to move about!  How great that the entire event was such a success!  I hope to see more events soon!

Keep up the good work!

Yep, it was WAY too crowded. We had expected 1000 people tops, so 2600 totally exceeded all of our wildest expectations. Chalk it up to experience! Next time we'll work on that!

First off, that snow storm was WICKED! I came from Uptown, and I was sliding all over the place on the (short) drive there. So imagine my surprise when I showed up right at the beginning (9 am) and it was packed!
There was lots of cool stuff. I can't remember what booth it was, but it was in the middle of the large room, a vendor had a 21 cent Barbie Peep Show under the booth! It was hilarious, and one of the girls at the table said, "Can I take your picture? You're the only one who has paid to see the peep show so far!"
There were a couple of things that I was disappointed at. The crowding was bad, and lots of the stuff was really expensive. Plus, word on the street was that there were going to be snackies and stuff, and I didn't see any! But, it gave my friend and I an excuse to go to Key's and eat hashbrowns, so it wasn't so bad.
All and all I think it was super-fun. I can't wait for another one!

Up yours, young people. You and your rock and roll 8-track tapes!

My sister and I had a blast. Thank you SO much for putting this together! I agree - it was waaay too crowded though. The number of people was awesome! I tried to get out to look at other people's wares, but it was sort of stressful to stop and look at things - because the flow of people wanted to keep going! My husband brought us lunch, and it took him 15 minutes to get from one end of the room to our table, then he got swept up in the flow of traffic so he had to keep going past us. It was pretty funny Smiley

Thank you so much for putting this together - can't wait until the next one!

I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone involved in the planning for Saturday. I know that I have no idea how much work, time, and stress you all invested and endured to organize such a big event, but I'm really grateful I was lucky enough to get to participate, and I think you all did such a magnificent job!!! If there's anything I could do to help next year, please let me know. I do not have a car (or even a license truth be told), but what I lack in access to motor vehicles I would do my best to compensate for in enthusiasm.
Thanks again, Oona.
