I had a knitting breakthrough while starting on my first attempt at making a knitted plaything from a pattern. I had just started the jess hutch free bunny pattern (http://www.jesshutch.com/bunny.html) when, all of a sudden, knitting 3-d creature in the round made sense to me. So I put the pattern aside, opened my stash, and knitted this without a pattern in three evenings.

It has been named Fuzzy Yutakota after two ADD twin boys (yuta and kota) who I teach. Soon it will travel to America in an art exchange for jewlery.

P.S. Any ideas on how to start pricing such goods? I have had a great deal of on-line feedback from my blog but I am used to pricing large drawings and not small creatures.

A friend from back in the states wanted it for a baby shower. The fact that she makes nice jewlery really sealed the deal. I've got a few chirstmas orders to fill now as well.

Thanks!

Yutakota spawned a strange outpouring of monsters in the last two weeks.

Next in line came Mamichan:

And then I got a Christmas commision for a friend of a blog-reading friend. She's not a craft person so I feel safe posting what I finished last night:

I am now working on a cat with and extra frankenstien head.
