I was wondering if anyone knows of any on-line stores in Canada that have flavor oils or lip balm base or containers or labels? I've never tried to make my own lip gloss and was hoping this would be a good Winter project (b/c god knows it's too cold to go oustide) and alot of suppliers that I found wont ship to Canada or charge a huge shipping rate.

I'm willing to travel if anyone knows any good stores in the GTA or surrounding that carry any lip balm supplies

Thanks so much !!!!

You know what is great? Vaseline + Kool Aid. I don't know the exact proportions because I just use the amounts I feel like using. Imagine that: Lots of different flavor possibilities!  Cheesy  Good luck!

Also -

You can get essential oils at most grocery stores - you can find them in the "Natural Foods" section at Dominion, Loblaws etc....

You can also use lard, Just melt in the microwave add food colouring to tint and flavour with jello, kool-aid, kitchen essentials like vanilla and lemon juice. If it's for personal use, you can scrape the un-used lipstick in the bottom of the tube and tint with that. Also Sears sells a 'make you own lipgloss' kit and the re-fill products. Also try googling 'free lip gloss reciepies' There's a lot out there. As for containers, I use the 'toy egg' inside Kinder-surprise. I have 6 kids, so those are easy to come by. Good luck,d Smiley
