Im gonna attempt  Undecided to make a dress for my 18th 1950s themed party!! I'm fine with all the sewing and i can make a simple pattern I just need some help on colours, embelishments etc!! Ive got some really nice yellow lace and I can get hold of just about n e thing else as i have a fabric store that sells its material a pound a metre so there are no boundries! Just hit me with all your ideas! Also if you can think of n e fun fifties style things i can have/do/give at my party that will be great Thnx Grin

i can't find a picture of me wearing this, but you can kind of get the idea...  i think what makes this dress 50's is that it's short & it has crinoline!  it's super super fitted around the waist, wants a cone-bra, and poofs out a lot.  it's not really flashy, just a nice decorative sequin & pearl pattern.  definitely fit for lucille ball.

This site has some fifties style patterns that might give you some ideas.  The patterns are kinda expensive for me, but the pictures are cool.
