I've had some where the outer end of the yarn on a center pull skein was glued . . . most of the time it was helpful. How much was glued?

not too much only about 4 or 5 spots.  I tried picking it off...didn't work.  If i ever use that skein i think i will have to cut it and then join it(which i hate doing!)

Hot glue makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!

Yu - that's so useless of the manufacturers, as if they'd not know that crocheters/knitters want to use the entire skein!

I got a bit huffy last night, as I did three stitches instead of 2 on a hat, and didn't notice till a whole round later, when the pattern wasn't what I expected it to be.  My housemate was lovely and perfectly understanding my grump - I've got him well trained Wink
