hi all, I just got some pics of my capelet to share with you all, but they are not very clear (as i took them on my mobile phone at work this morning). So sorry about the quality!

Here is a close up of the metal clasp i used ...

Thanks glad you like it!

I got the clasp at the haberdashery section of my local Department store "John Lewis" http://www.johnlewis.com/  But i have seen them in fabric shops that specialise in dress fabrics (rather than interior fabrics).

I think i am going to put this clasp on my fake fur one too!  Once that is finshed i will post some more pictures of that - hopefully take them with my proper camera, so they are a little big clearer!

Lovely, Scarlet!

I like the clasp, too. So many clever modifications in here...

waaah!  i knitted this up and it feels too small...i guess i thought myself a wee bit smaller!  Grin
anyhow, i think i will give it to my neice.  here are a couple pics for ya!

heres a close up of the collar...i decided that it looked more vintagy in seed stitch...i did the collar and ribbing in seed st.  i also added a little seed stitch border to the front edges.

heres a pic that is more true to the color.  it is actually a minty green...my camera doesnt like light colors!

hope you like!

now that most of my christmas scarves are out of the way I was finally able to cast on. you guys weren't kidding when you said this knits up fast! I'm using some donated worsted weight (feels like acrylic), double stranded, in a really pretty pastel colorway on 11's. I'm using julsey's exact measurements so i hope it fits.

Looks amazing Scarlet!! Great job!

I saw a clasp like that at my local "dashery" too- Dressew on West Hastings in Vancouver. I thought about buying it and now I will because it looks so great! It was only $4.00 but I have spent so much this week I couldn't bring myself to buy it  Tongue

Good work Tatoola! I love the seed stitch! It does have a very Vintage feel in the mint green with the seed stitch!

Everyone's looks great!  Grin

Here is yet another...!

I bought a sparkly pin to close mine, but then decided that I liked this silk flower instead -- at least for today. I love that you can change the look of this thing by using different decorative things to close the front.

I used KnitPicks Sierra (alpaca/wool blend). It's the first time I've used it, but I really liked working with it and like the look and the feel of it a lot.

Thank you Julsey for creating and sharing this pattern with all of us. It's been a big hit! And I guarantee I will be making more of these babies.
