I sent the link to my husband, just saying, "lookie here." And of course he wants one now.

It's crocheted, but I think I can make it work in knitting. The noodles = i-cords with wire, the eye stalks =  modified fallopian tubes from Knitty's uterus doll.

Will do. It might be closer to Christmas, or after. I have a big list of things I have to get done.

Here's what I'm thinking:
Jayne Cobb style-hat, in neutral color, w/o the pom-poms
Small balls for meatballs
Smaller balls in white for eyes, switching to i-cord, which gets a little wider for the stalks. Insert wire or pipe cleaner.
I-cord for noodles.
