Two books and crafts are already on their way! Don't fret if you haven't started yet; send-out isn't until the 14th!

Please let me know when you receive (through PM) as well as posting (and gloating about) your new goodies here.

Let's hope for a flaker-free swap!

P.S. If you'd like to send me a review (optional, of course) of the book you received once you've read it, I will gladly attach it to the total list of books received--otherwise I'll just find a review on Amazon or something. Nothing too in-depth, please! Basic summary (don't give anything away!) with your own reactions and reflections--less than a paragraph preferably. (:

I also sent today.  (I had an unusually un-busy weekend, perfect for crafting!)  Can't wait to see the goodies!

Well, my partner, Quincy134 is super swapper. She was done in a flash!

Here's what she sent me:

A 1960s version of the The Scarlet Pimpernel and  a knit purse with a reproduction of the painting A Young Girl Reading by Jean-Honore Fragonard. And to top it off, in her notes, she gave me a few suggestions on what to read next if I like the book she sent.

This is a great idea for a swap, I'm glad I got to be a part of it, I love finding new things to read!
Thanks Quincy134! I can't wait to dive into the book, and I think I have just the occasion to use my new purse this weekend.

Bottles caps? Please!

Shuffar, I'm so glad that the package arrived safely and that you like what I sent.  It was a fun craft to come up with.

I received my package of swappy booky goodies from Rackycoo today. I am completely stunned by her crafty skills!

She went way above and beyond.
She sent 2 books: The Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy & The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.

A gorgeous journal, personalized just for me! and a matching bookmark:

A perfect little portable spa wrapped up in a ribbon. It's a redone tin with a candle, coordinating matches, 2 eye creams, lovely little quotes from my favorite authors, a little perfume, and chocolates! (yes, one is missing - yum!) And a lovely note explaining why she chose these books.

Everything is in beautiful fall colors and just perfect!
Thank you so very much for everything Rackcoo, I am such a lucky gal! *does a little dance*

i didn't like the time traveler's wife, ug.  mostly because i hold super-high standards for love, and not to ruin anything, but claire does not meet them.  penelope, my ass.  that said, i think the concept of the story is great and she does a pretty good job of making it flow.  also, if you're the type of person who likes a soundtrack for your reading, muse's absolution cd is perfect for the last third of the book or so.

Rackycoo, am I going to have to chastise you for sending more than one book/craft? Wink
