I finished the Time Traveler's Wife tonite (thanks again Racky!!). I couldn't put it down. Hmmmmm, the author takes a bit of turn there in the last third, doesn't she? I now understand the mixed reactions earlier in this thread. I may need more time to digest this one. A good book makes you think.......
I'll be starting Prince of Tides next. Stay tuned for my insightful review.... Roll Eyes
How is everyone else finding their books???

Hooray! I received from greengirlak yesterday, and what great stuff!

Aside from the book (one which I've been intending to read for a long time now), she sent two really gorgeous sewn bookmarks - they're really awesome!

Thanks so much, Heather. I can't wait for you to get your package Cheesy

Those bookmarks are soo pretty.

Wooo! Came this morning.

Card coffin bookmark with tail and felted skull; A book thong; a card with a message in, and a book about a girl who can read minds, which she doesn't like as it makes her indateable. A fella comes along whose mind she can't read, but he's a bad monkey - a murdering vampire. I shall look forward to reading it after I've finished Animal Farm.

Here's a pic of all the stuff.  Cool

Nice - I've thought about that book - you'll need to let us know how you like it <G>

Well, I thought a new picture card would make my camera work again...I guess it wasn't the card.  Sad  I'll post pictures as soon as I can, but the camera's not being very agreeable at the moment.

My boyfriend decided that the Thanksgiving holiday would be a great time to reinstall all of the computers in our house, so here (finally!) are the pics of my package from EmilyFlew.

First, the book:  Jonathan Lethem's The Fortress of Solitude (and a notecard).  I have not read this yet and am really looking forward to it.

The fabulous craft:  a wallet inspired by the book and my own nerdy reading related obsessions.

The inside of the wallet.

Thanks so much EmilyFlew!  My package for you is on its way.

I received my book from pnk_elephant last week, and I haven't had the chance or technological capabilities to take pics, so a description will have to suffice. If you have pics, pnk_elephant, feel free to post them!

The book is called Feeling Sorry for Celia by Jaclyn Moriarty, a young adult novel. Apparently, it's a #1 bestseller in Australia and "a sharp, witty take on friendship, family. and the roller-coaster ride of adolescence." I'm quite excited to read it once winter vacation rolls around. (: And the craft she sent was a pretty pink magnetic bookmark with my initials, a flower, and grrly lace. Thanks again!

I got my package from impalacey on Friday. It included By Candlelight: Rites for Celebration, Blessing & Prayer by Janina Renee, a tote bag with Waterhouse's Mermaid on it, and a really lovely bookmark with a dragon charm.

I love it all and can't wait to get reading the book. Thanks, impalacey! [:
