Just found out the New Craft Collective show is this weekend:

Friday Oct. 12th & Saturday Oct. 13th at the Carpenters Union Hall. They now have a website too: http://newcraftcollective.blogspot.com
(this is different, btw, than the craft show I posted about yesterday - this one only happens twice a year).

One of my favourite designers is always there: Sabrina Butterfly Designs, who also now has her own website: http://www.sabrinabutterflydesigns.ca
I've bought a number of skirts from her over the years and people have actually stopped me on the street to comment on them. This year will be much easier on my budget though since I'm pregnant and don't want to buy anything I might not fit into later. Smiley

Wow, thanks for mentioning that! I missed the October one but I'm emailing now about getting into the next one (although that may lead to a double booking situation given all teh Christmas fairs I've applied to!!)

I'll be participating in the "MADE IN CANADA: Calgary Artist's Market" at Carpenter's Union Hall in Kensington on November 17, and December 15 from 10-4:30 pm.

There's more info here on the blog:

Come check it out! Also, I think there's still room to get in on the December sale if you're interested.

Its been a while since anyone commented here and I was just wondering whats shakin? Im not much into the knitting...yet but would be happy to give it more of a go if I were able to meet some craftsters in the area!

If anyone is ever out in Cochrane there is a store called Home Treasures. Its basically a constant garage sale. People drop off whatever and it gets sold by volunteers. The money helps out local support services and its a really organized and cool place. There is everything...EVERYthing you might find at a garage sale. Also for you clothing recyclers there is the same idea next door with clothing!
