I got the idea out of another topic (which I can't find now) and made a kitty hat.  I don't actually want to wear this hat, but I don't want to give it away either!

So for the time being it's sitting in my yarn bag and gets whipped out occasionally when somebody accuses me of never finishing a project.  Cheesy

Pattern -

Cast on 30 stitches in a chunky-ish wool on size 6.5mm needles.
Moss stitch for 5 rows.

Then knit stockinette (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) for about 10 inches.

Then another 5 rows of moss stitch.

So it looks like a long scarf basically.  Then fold it over and sew it up so the moss stitch forms a "band" around the bottom of the hat.

Put it on your head and the ears form naturally.  Cheesy

An excellent pattern for a beginner knitter wanting to become more adventurous.  I've had lots of requests for more of these hats.  They take about an hour or so to knit up depending on how fast you are!

Looks real easy and cute. One question, though, what about the specs for the bow??

The picture is gone but there is a pattern just a few posts above yours.

I guess this is goodbye.

This was an awesome last minute holiday gift! I had some fluffy pink yarn that was perfect. Love it, and quick and easy, too!
