I decided to make amigurumi toys for both my nieces as well as my nephew for christmas & finally got them finished tonight. JOY!

I made my eldest niece, who's 10 a rabbit & the youngest one, who's 3, a frog. I french knotted the tail on the rabbit & a friend sewed the ears on for me (Muchos gracias Christine  Grin). The frog was a whole bunch easier though I'm not too happy with the holiness of the bottom, I was decreasing by four each row, then eight & figure this might have been too much, either that or my tension's all off. They's both freehanded & I'm beginning to thing I like making big headed things.

Anyway, here's pics

& a (blurry) close-up of my first attempt at french knotting

It occurred to me while making the rabbit that the eyes could really hurt if you got hit with a plushie swung by the feet. Well, hopefully they don't fight as much as their Mum & me did when we were kids.

Hey 'ped is that Corey Feldman? OMG I love him Kiss and I never liked the other corey - too clean. I go for the bad boys. Like you hehe. Wink

Love the finished products although the colours don't seem to have turned out as bright as in real life. And they definately look cute enough for those wee family members who you are gifting. Tell me more about yon smile on senor frog. He looks like he's eaten some pie Smiley

Life is better when you're avoiding other things

You know it is Eyes. I was more a Haim man myself until about 5 years ago when I saw a (then) current photo of him & speedily jumped the fence into the Feldman camp. The quote at the bottom of my profile thing is from Goonies.

I'd love to know what you think of the snout on the bunny. Is it better than you pictured? I sent them off today but don't think they'll get to darwin in time for Christmas day, drat!

Thanks Stafanixia, my next lot will probably be a bit more sinister than these but I didn't want to scare my neices.
