Gee, thanks for making everyone feel inferior...

I'm kidding.  I wish i had the time, energy, and MONEY to do all that...

I am getting a loft bed though, because I love floor space, and I'm sort of going to get the whole two story thing going on.  Okay yeah... no one cares about my room. lol

CHECK it out at the end of next month. Grin

Greatest room I've EVER seen! Holy hell, I want your room, but not blues and blacks.
I'm inspired like crazy... damn! All the things you've thought of, wow!

I love the bed/desk idea

that room is awesome.

i wish i:
a) still lived at home
b) had a high enough ceiling to do the desk-above-bed thing
c) had money to do that

It's so cold in this house.

Really like the shelf above the bed thing. I've been thinking out in my head how to do this but the load-bearingness is beyond me. I just don't want to end up breaking and falling onto my bed.  Tongue Some plans would be great.

i honestly never worry about it falling. it's "super" stiff. it doesn't move, or creak or anything. all my friends that come over arent ever worried when they're under it... even if someone is on the computer above them. I know i had at least like 600 pounds of people up on it plus the weight of everything else on it, and it was fine.

i know how build stuff. I built a bunch of things for my house. Above my living room, it was a big empty space nearly 20ft to the ceiling. I built a loft there.. well, not all by myself, my stepdad helped me a bit.-----
--- also in my little siblings' room i built some "loft bed" things. They're basically like little beds, just sticking out of the wall about 6 feet high, i built three in their room. i built other crap to.

You need to use thick, long bolts... i think i used like 3/8" thick by like 5 to 6 inchs long.. And you need to make sure to find the studs. most times each one is 16" apart. um, forget it. I can't explain things good, not without pictures. i don't have a scanner so i can't show my little 'blueprint' i'm sorry.
