My daughter, husband and I are all addicted to the Katamari Damacy game, so of course I knew I needed to make my daughter a Prince costume for Hallowe'en!  This is what the prince looks like, for those unfamiliar with the game:

Here is my daughter (she's 9 ^_^) modeling the costume:

This is my favourite of the pics, it cracks me the eff up! ^_^;;

My Grandma, disgusted about the presence of a camera in her personal space. ^^;
Poor Grandma, she'd KILL me if she knew people were seeing this!  ^^;

Sorry for so many pics, I just couldn't resist posting them all because I think they're SOO FUNNY.
We're about to go out to our local GameStop to buy the sequel to the game, and I'm going to make my daughter wear her costume, lol!
What do you guys think?  This is my first real costume/cosplay sewing project, I'm really mostly a bag maker.

SEQUEL!! What sequel?! I love you and I must have it.

On to the main part of my post: Awesome costume. I'm totally addicted to Katamari, too, but I never would have thought to make a costume of the prince. You should make her a katamari to roll, too. Like a little paper mache one she could carry with little people and cows rolled up in it.

That is hilarious!  I love the picture on the couch too.  The Prince looks a litle evil there.
The new game, We Love Katamari is fun.  I just got it for my boyfriend's b-day.  It's even trippier than the first.  And you get to see the Kings legs!  Ewww.

New personal hero. Ohmigosh. I can't tell if I love you more for making this or your daughter for wearing it so gosh darn cutely.

I'm holding out 'til Christmas for the sequel, We Love Katamari, but it's a long wait. Wink On the other hand, I was just introduced to the game in April, so maybe I should calm down a bit. Heh.

I have a bunch of Katamari papercrafts on my computer in PDF form. You may have inspired me to crack out the scissors and have my own li'l prince around.

Again:  Cute, cute, cute. Cheesy

Thanks everyone for the nice comments!!  ^_^

Shotgun_Bettie, this is what she's going to roll when we go out on Monday night:

It's my exercise ball, so I don't want to glue anything to it since presumably I'll use it some day.   Roll Eyes

FluffyMonkey:
The sequel is We Love Katamari and it is SO FUN!  The rolling is even crazier than the first game and the King is sillier than ever. XD

msmeow:
Yes, I thought she looked a little sinister on the couch, too.  ^^;
If you could see her in action in this costume it's even funnier.  She is pretty good at moving like the Prince!
LOL the King's legs....and scenes from his sad childhood!  I'm torn between Katamari and crafting right now, soo conflicted!!!  O_O

artgeek:
Oooh don't wait for Xmas!!  Get it now!  I was going to wait a while too, but then I realized I just couldn't wait.  ^^;
Katamari papercrafts?  But what are those??  I must know!!!

I think I might pay to see a video of her doing the little Prince moves in the corner, the arms waving, the little dancing and running!  Too funny!
Does she breath ok in that thing?  I am a little curious about the inner construction of that head thing.  This may result in my changing my halloween costume!
