Here's the humble beginning of the first Fuzzy Foot, about halfway through the heel.

I hope I can continue to figure out how to adapt the instructions to dpn's only. Thanks for all the in-progress pics.  Smiley

I'm also watching the knitalong that worthwhilegirl posted the link to.

I'm about 3/4 through my first fuzzy foot! Just a couple of inches to the toe decreases!!

I've been using the basic instructions for the circular needle. It's working well for me so far!!

I'm using cascade 220 in bluebell for this pair. I can't believe how fast these knit up. I got all that done in about 2.5 hours last night.

edited to include a picture

Here is my first fuzzy foot!

haha.  i realized the other day that the reason mine look a little weird is that i k2,p2 i/o k1.p1.   ah well.  they may look a little funky but i'll just say they have character Wink
i'm really excited about felting them.  i HAD a huge load of laundry to do, but then i waited until the weekend because i was visiting my parents and i don't have to pay for laundry at there house and since i'm making the slippers for my mom well...  i just didn't want her to see her present early. she would have known they were for her because she's wanted a pair ever since i first took up knitting
the best things come to those who wait?

I'm about as far along on mine as worthwhilegirl was in her picture two posts above. I'm thrilled to be past the heel and gusset.

I think mine is turning out too small, though, it doesn't seem like I will be able to felt it down much.  I had to guess about the size of my homemade dpn's.... but I'm not frogging it now!

About what size is the unfelted sock? I mean, is it like a tent, or just like a sock that's a couple sizes too big?

Oh man, I started these as a T project a couple of weeks ago and hadn't seen this thread (that's what I get for always going to completed projects!).  I've finished one of the socks and am about half way through the second - I'll post some pictures when I get home.

Horsepower - I've done mine entirely on dpns with no issues.

I'm doing mine on dpns only also, and haven't had any problems.

I am doing them too. And I probably picked the ugliest colour possible. Oh well, just another reason to make them again very soon.  Roll Eyes

I have never felted anything before. Is there anything I should be careful of?
