My little cousin's 11th birthday is coming up and her favorite things are shoes. She is always interested in seeing what things I've crafted when she visits and once said to me that she thought I could probably even make a purse out of a shoe. So, I took that as a challenge and decided to create a shoe purse for her, using a high heeled shoe, dollar store purse, & a belt that I found with shoe & purse bottle caps for the strap.

I embroidered "I <3 Shoes" with a shoe outline on it.

I can't wait to give it to her! Comments or criticism welcomed.

Cute! So the shoes on the inside? Can we see a pic of the inside?

I just replaced the bottom of the dollar store purse, with the sole of the shoe. I cut the rest of the shoe off before gluing the purse to the sole and you can't see the top of the shoe on the inside of the purse because there is a lining.

I've seen purses like that! They're either stiletto or sneaker based and I always thought they were one of the few things that could never be made by lowly mortals. Way to correct me!
