I made mine today, first purse I ever made. My lining didnt fit the right way and I didnt have a cardboard for the bottom so its a bit flimsy, but I think its really cute. My daughter (who is 3) loves it so much I let her have it and I will make myself another one. Thank you so much for the tutorial.

I'm a bit late to the party here, but this is such a great idea! I've been needing a new purse and eyeballing some burlap webbing... I may see if I can combine the two ideas.

 Grin You are a design genius!! I'm crazy into making my own bags and purses right now and stubled across your tutorial. Given the 8 zillion purse and bag tutorials that can be found online I am pleased as punch to have come across yours. I can see this as being a big hit with my 6 and 10 year old that are just learning to sew!

Here's my version:


Hand made bags, purses, totes, wristlets, and zippered coin pouches.  All made on my 1952 15-91 Singer and Juki DDL-9000B-SS.
