The 80's was't that long ago, right? Or am I starting to get old?

What I remember most are the double solid colored socks that you would match with the two t-shirts with the sleeves rolled up, and hyper-color shirts.

80's craft projects might include:

*friendship braclets in pinks, purples, white and neons.
*painting a pair of keds with the infamous puffy paint, in neons of course.
*be-dazzling a jean jacket, but the jacket should be really short, above the waitline.
*making scrunchies that matched different shirts

Well those are some of the projects I remember doing...oh ah, no I mean my friends would do, yeah, my friends....

Second star~ oh my god, I am so glad you mentioned Poochie! No one I know remembers her (not even my  mom who should know since she rented me all the videos!), and they all think that I'm insane and just made her up. Sorry it's sorta off, but I just had to get that off my chest. Wink
btw, friendship bracelets, like sewing stars said, would be a great project, because it's super cheap and easy. You can get that dmc floss at most any craft store, and it's only like .20 a pop, and you can make a lot w/ one thing of it. Good luck, and have fun! sounds like an awesome assignment.

80s...peg your pants (either folding the cuffs tightly or using safety pins), rat up your hair, lots of hair spray and blue eyeliner, big huge oversize t shirt, knotted on one side.....two different sized earrings

Lol! I cant believe ya'll actually wore all that!!

For decoration we are gonna make paper rubik's cubes and string them all around and maybe put a piece of 80's candy inside and give each student one after the presentation. We are also planning on walking into the class room doing the electric slide and after the presentation we wanna teach the class the dance..but its up to me to teach my group how to do the dance! lol!

Does anyone have any clue where i can find pix of madanna from the 80's? Im dressing like her. I found a few pix of my mom when she was sporting the modanna look so i have some idea lol!

Good Lord!  The 80's are a history lesson already?!  Boy, do I feel old! Cry
I remember Pound Puppies, Will Smith before he was a big movie star, Duran Duran, Hammer Time, Wham!, acid wash jeans, neon colors, jellies, leg warmers, Square Pegs and Michael Jackson when he was cool.  I also remember when videos and MTV first started!!  And cell phones were rare and the size of huge walkie talkies!!
Have fun with your project and if you can, post pictures.

Actually believe it or not, a guy at my college had one and used it ! (only 3/4 years ago)!  It was one of those huge grey ones (Exactly like Zack Morris [Saved by the Bell]) and he actually thought he was pretty cool.
But I don't know where he is now.......

Rainbow Bright, My Little Ponies, Shera, and least we forget... Punky Brewster!

Hope these help
