Well, there are (camera's not working, dunno why) some papier mache boxes in the shape of a book (I love books! Yeah!), a flipflop and a plain oval one, and some wooden dollhouse boxes, a box-shaped one (haha) and a house-shaped one. Basically, if you look at amaryllisrose's shines (sorry, the search function isn't working, I've been waiting ages.), the box is the same shape of her "Inspire" and the cupboard is like her "Day of the Dead" one. (Maybe also her Frida Kahlo one, but I can't remember). You know, before they were shrines.

I shall make some kind of flipflop shrine for my mum for Christmas with the flipflop box. Because that's all she lives in. Even though she hates the fact often when people wear flipflops, they don't pick up thrir feet. SoI shall call the shrine "Shuffle". I'm not sure about the rest of the stuff.

(I gotta admit, I'm just a tiny bit more excited about the Peppermint Patties and the Peanut Butter Cups!!!

I never thought it as a singaporean thing, but I think nushy means people who drag their feet when they walk so it's like they're sliding rather than walking and it makes a bunch of noise . It drives me crazy too.

I guess I was kinda confused because I was under the impression that nushybum was from the UK (okay, it could have been the Nyquil too...).  When I read that bit of her statement, to me, it was analogous to an American making a sweeping statement that the (fill in a nationality of choice) has the habit of (again, fill in the blank).  I'm guessing that remisica is from Singapore and hence her response was whoa?!?

Nush lives in the UK but has an Asian heritage.  I'm not sure if she's always lived in the UK or if she relocated there after time in Asia.  I believe her parents may be from Asia originally.

Yes, that's right. I used to live in Singapore, and everybody there wears flipflops. And generally when you go there, people shuffle along without picking up their feet, so you fall over.

I'm sorry to have made a sweeping statement; you're right, it was rude and I shouldn't have. So I can only apologise for my impolite words. I'm sorry.

Nushy, I've returned home from the Southenmost Point of the US of A.  Glad to hear you got all your goodies safe and sound.  A little bird told me you'd love the candies and it sounds like you did.  I made a flip-flop box for one of my nieces and it turned out very cute (I'll try to get a picture of it next time I visit her) - be sure to post a picture of what you make with yours.
