Well, thank you all, that's so nice said. I think I'll put it on a cushion.

I love that!  I was just thinking I wanted to cross stitch a photo of my boyfriend.  I really like your results and I am going to try it myself.

That's amazing. Is it terribly difficult to turn regular photos into cross-stitch patterns using photoshop? Maybe if I re-teach myself how to cross-stitch, I'll try this out. It's very fabulous.

Can you post instructions for making the pattern in Photoshop?

ahh! that's awesome! You could do anything with it really, but of course the obvious ideas would be a funky pillow or a purse. It'd be cool just to frame with a really ornate frame or something, and place it somewhere fun like right when you walk in the door of your house/room (that's what I'd do, Wink ) . Great job!

I totally agree with the framing idea-- a huge gold frame for Freddie!  You know, that would be a lot of fun... a person could do loads of cross-stitched portraits of glamrock artists like David Bowie and Brian Eno and put them in these ornate frames.  How cool would THAT be?  It would be like some kind of crazy SHRINE!

My brain in reeling with the possibilities!

Beautiful Job!! How did you transfer that on Photoshop? Which version of photoshop? Thanks!!

I used Photoshop 7.0, but it's pretty easy so I think the most versions works. But anyway, I can try to explain, and then hope you will understand it.

So open the picture and crop it or make it to the size you want. And if you want it in black and white, you... follow the picture.

And then, if you want less colors you choose Image, Adjustments, Posterize.

And now, if you can't see the rulers, you click at view, rulers. And when you can see them you... click at it twice. And then this box comes up, and there you choose guides, grids and slices and in the box where it says Gridline every you choose 1 pixel.

And select view, extras. And hopefully it will look like this.

And then you just print the screen with the print screen button and paste it in to a new document, where you can crop it and print it out.

I hope you understand and good luck!

And thank you funkstart for the perfect idea about the glamrock artists!

i got so old just wondering how
i never got cold wearing nothing in the snow
this is way beyond my remote concern
