So I had this green chef's jacket that I thought would reconstruct really well, and then... it didn't. So I sewed it up a bit, added a thrifted tie as a strap, and voila! A bag!

To get things in and out, you have to unbutton the front. I left that part unchanged from the original jacket, because I really liked them. Where the neck was it is open, but you can't really fit anything much bigger than your hand in through there.

Hey, that's a really uniqe bag. I love the color of it and the buttons. You did great to save it by making it a bag. I usually throw things in a bag and they are never seen again! Super work.

Thats really an awesome idea! My boyfriend is a chef and he has these jackets laying around everywhere. I might be able to bribe him out of one. Though his are just plain white. He's an artist too, i could have him draw some really cool designs all over it and then make it into a pimp bag. He would love that I'm promoting both his arts hanging off my shoulder! Great idea! So you just sewed up the bottom and added a tie for the strap? Seems uber simple.! And I love how you left the buttons to undo and get inside! Brilliant!
