one 18.5 oz duncan hines cake mix (or any other vegan cake mix, this is my good ole' reliable)
one can (how many ounces are in a regular can? 12 yes?) soda of your choice

mix the cake and the can of soda. bake for as long as the back of the box tells you, just like a normal cake. don't need to add the eggs or oil or water or whatever they reccomend with the instructions. just the soda. you should grease the pan you use though.

some fun combinations - chocolate cake mix with coke or pepsi, or vanilla or cherry coke/pepsi. for light-colored cake mixes, you can use 7 up or another clear soda. or make it orange-y with slice. the possibilities are endless. use any frosting you like

this is one of my favorite 'recipes' because it's so easy and amazingly moist and good, and it's vegan ^_^

The Duncan-Hines cake mix I looked at had whey listed as one of the ingredients.  But Dr. Oetker's (sp?) cake mix is definitely vegan.

me too! i thought 'how mean to try to trick vegans...'

i'm not vegan but pretty sure my fave recipe is!

extra quick chili

1 can chopped tin tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
mexican spice mix (not too sure this is vegan but you can make up your own with coriander, chilli, garlicpaprika, cumin, pepper etc!)

combine in bowl, microwave!

you can also do it properly in a pan with fried onions, red pepper, courgette (zucchini?) etc
