I love the free newspapers that float around the streets and sit in piles on the ground out side the music stores in Melbourne's City. I wasplanning on doing a collage for awhile on rock music so I had saved pics of guitars from the free newspapers & free mags (such as the MX for you Melbournians out there lol and Beat street cab mag). I've been looking at some of the entries so far, sinking further into my seat as I realise there is no way I am going to win this because mine's looks so crap now!(you guys are so creative!). Okay so anyhoo, I made a collage from random newspaper things and thought I'd just sew some pop tabs to it too lol. Enjoy....

'All terrible collages have a starting point too, you know'

'And oh look, a work in progress....should it have stayed like that perhaps?

'Ta da! An El Cheapo collage truly worthy of the trash!'
By The Way, that is a rock smurf in the corner, we were clearing out the cupboards the other day and the poor little guy's future was uncertain (potential trash....) so I gave it homage on my collage. And the thing near it that looks like half a record was make from a broken record which I melted all the little bits together and stuck some paper to it (broken records and paper are always destined for the trash in one way or another). There are shredded plastic bags at the top, they're kinda hard to see, and the other random stuff was stickers from broken cd covers, and JB HI-FI yellow tape that you get to seal bags when you buy cds there (so that you can't steal any cds on your way out of the store lol).

Okay, thanks for reading, and now vote for me or I'll hunt you down and force feed your dog with fairy floss!!

You've worked so hard for everything you've got
Ten minutes later, you're a loser
Count your blessings and the ones you love
At this point, we beggars can't be choosers.

This is so neat!  The smurf is my favorite.  Love the way you put everything together, too.
