Here's an easy way to turn an ordinary tie into a necklace. All you need is a belt buckle like the one on the picture. It has to be pretty small, but these are easy to find secondhand. You also need a tie. To give you an idea, here's what you'll end up with:

First you have to cut a piece of the narrow end of the tie. Measure it around your neck, and make sure to make it a an inch or two longer. Then you sew the end of the tie to the middle part of the buckle with hand stiches like this:

Here's what it'll look like from the other side:

And tada, here's a tie necklace:

or for a guy to wear through his collar. Kinda a cross between a bowtie and a regular one. Bet, i could get my boyfriend to try it. Good idea
