One of my Best Friends Amanda is turning 14 on October 16th.  What should I get her/make her for her birthday?  She is interested in a lot of things, but not sports.  She likes to sew, cook, scrapbook, hang out with friends, have sleepovers with friends, and play games.

I love Shady-pie! (my adorable puppy!)

You could make her a cookie mix in a jar type thing, or if you want to buy something, some cute fabric or scrapbooking stuff. Also you could make a mini scrapbook of your friendship, and only half fill it in, so she can finish it off. Clocks, in shadowboxes, or through the middle of records go down well, or if you do soap making, maybe some soaps and general pamper stuff. Hope i helped!

For a friend who really likes to cook, I made a little cookbook of fun recipes with stuff that's not really expensive. She's already done a bunch of the recipes in the book. I just wrote the recipes on index cards, decorated them and bound them together with a cute little cover.

so a gift bag full of stuff would be cool, depending on how much money your willing to spend
*games, buy her a bunch of board games, maybe off ebay so you could get them cheaper, or even create a game dedicated to all of her friends like a trivia game, that could be fun at the sleepovers
*as for sewing, you could make her things she could use, a really cool pin cushion designed with what she likes.
*cooking, you could make her a apron
*and scrapbooking, you could START a scrapbook for her and let her finish, or even throw her a little sleepover party(talk to her mom and she if shell help you out) and all the girls could make a page in the scrapbook.
i dont know hope this helps you out

Along the scrap book idea how bout makin her something called an indestructable scrap book. Basicly you buy a brand new scrap book then trow it at stuff and "accidentally" stick it in the bath and chuck it out of windows and accidentally spill tea on it etc. until it looks like its been through about 1000 wars and yet still survived them all!  Grin
