NEATO!!! You said you used circulars but what size did you use?  I cant get the varigated stuff to work for me...was it what the label suggested?

i love!!!

I used size 13 needles its a bit more than what it says to, it may have been a bit to large but im very happy with it

I have the same yarn and it's not the greatest to work with.  I love the bag; you did a great job with the shape and handle.  Smiley

is that a life sized jack the pumpkin king in santa suit behind you? Grin

I was smitten by the bag and Jack at the same time, too. I wasn't sure which to admire first...

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it! --Elwood Blues

Now I have a reason to buy  camo yarn. I find tons of it here (Michigan) in the green shade and in a tan/brown camo shade. I,ve always liked how it looks but never knew what to make with it.

this yarn actually comes in sport and worsted weight - i found the sport at joanns and walmart sells the worsted

Thats where I find it too. Tongue

I've used that very same Red Heart yarn for something else, its actually nice to work with. I keep finding ways to sneek it into projects. It was  the best $2.17 I ever spent.

Congrats on the tote- it looks awesome. I love the handle... I too mix crochet and knitting like that, awesome job. Now all you need to do it knit matching armwarmers  Grin

2/18/12 - I no longer have the directions for wrapped pens, I lost them several years ago. To obtain them for yourself, do like I did, contact DMC threads directly and ask for them.

Great job, that's really cool looking. Funny, too, one of my friends was just saying he wanted a camo scarf, and I was wondering how that could be accomplished. Problem solved!
