I wasn't sure if I understood the technique of doing a slip-stitch (it just seemed too easy!) so I decided to practice with the pattern found here:  http://frottezpatterns.blogspot.com/

I also wanted to try making a little flower... although it didn't work out too great, and I sort of cheated to make the petals more distinct... but shhh, don't tell.  And yes, that is a tiny little bell I put in the center.

Does anyone else have quick, little one or two day projects?  I usually don't have tons of time to sit down and knit, and I don't know what to make next.

I made some baby booties based on this pattern:

and they literally took me about an hour.. only useful if you know somebody with children I suppose though!

I was going to make these:

My next project.  Smiley  They look relatively easy to make!  Nice cell phone cosy btw.  Smiley

Wow, thanks a lot!  I was actually thinking that slippers might be fun, and those look pretty simple...  Maybe I could even try felting for the first time with them!

I love one day projects too.  I've recently done a couple pairs of wrist warmers, they're really versatile because you can play with all kinds of stitches, cables, lace, intarsia... also look for the thread with the pattern for a "panta".  It's cute and knits up quickly.

I was going to try felting for the first time with this pattern for slippers too.  :-)  I've seen these slippers in the high street stores selling for 5!  Shocking.  It's not like they are particularly difficult or anything (she says before casting on..)..

A lot of cuddly toy patterns are also pretty quick.  I knitted up a cat (in another thread) in a couple of hours.
