Ahh you've just brought back some fantastic memories of when I was little!!

My dad painted a funny face on a door sized piece of wood and banged some long nails into it from the back so they pushed through the front. You had to throw the water balloons at the face and explode as many balloons as you could in a set time - this was brought out at every party and we never got tired of it!  Grin

I guess you could also do the same with a painted target (and keep a score) or alter the face to your theme.

I may just have to make myself another one of these for halloween fun and games! Ph x

Have all your guests pair up and stand in two lines facing each other (ala Red Rover).  Each pair gets a water balloon.  Start with partners two feet apart and have them toss the balloons to each other. If anyone drops it, or gets wet, they're out.  Everyone else moves backwards 1 foot. Toss again. Continue until everyone is wet, or one pair is left standing.

I dont know how wet you want to get, but y'know capture the flag? That is so fun when instead of capturing a flag, each team has 10 water baloons to protect, and when it's finished, the winners soak the losers

You could put shaving cream on the water balloons, give people razors and have them shave the balloons without popping them. I know you can do that with regular balloons, but I'm not sure about water balloons. Also, you could make water balloon yo-yos - just don't fill up the balloons all the way.

you can play tag with water balloons, the person it just hits someone with the balloon and that person runs to a bin w/ balloons to get another, its fun after everyone it wet

u could play put out the fire, its with buckets of water though, u just have ppl in a line at the first person gets a cup of water (or sponge) from a hose or something, then u have to pass it down the line till the last person has it, and they put it n a bucket, then they pass the up back and keep doin it till the bucket or whatever is full (we normally have more than one cup in the line so everyone is always moving and its done with 2 teams, so its a race)
