Anyone else make prayer shawls?  I've been making these like madd. . .have 8 for parents suffering the loss of infant children Cry  The ones I make are with triangle or similar to what is seen here:

My fave is the lacy effect with the big blue crochet hook. . .

We are atarting a group at our Church.  I have been making these for some time now, and they are such a comfort.

. . .they are such a comfort.

I get such a kick seeing the ladies at Church wear them  Cheesy we'd made them for the whole women's ministry team and then I'd had an extra that we gave to one of the older ladies at eh Senior Center

I realize this is an old, old thread, but I just found it (sorry, princessblueberry, was stalking you so I can get more ideas for my angel package to you Wink).
I run a Prayer Shawl Ministry at my church. It's small, but we've given away a whole bunch of shawls this past year. I think we're well on our way to about ..50 or so?
I heard about it at a women's retreat I was at and jumped on it. I'm so glad I did. It feels so good to see the reactions of people when they get one, and even better to see them actually using it later on. I know the shawls bless the people who get them, but boy do they bless me, too!

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.
