I started to make a scarf for my beloved but I was  watching TV at the same time and made a mistake and it's so wide!  Like the pattern said 10 and I did 20.  What can I do with it now?  I have a bit done.

Do you want to turn it into something else? If not, I would just frog it (rip it out) and
start over. It's not the most fun thing to do but then you'll have exactly what you want.
Good luck!

If you like the color, you could knit it extra long and then make it into a short poncho (or poncho-ette) by sewing one of the short sides to the long side (Knitty has one on their website). Do you know how you made your error? That always facinates me more than anything else  Tongue.
