so i have 2 situations:
1. drafting pattern from scratch
2. recon of a sweater with a high neck

think this style neckline: http://lulusvintage.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/poshvintage1_1.jpg

do i just draw the scoop neck as i want it to end up looking and cut (leaving seam allowance)
or is there something else i need to do?
what if i want it to have a gathered look in the centre area? (like this http://www.hotterthanhollywood.com/designers/threedots/tops/3dotshortmodal.htm)

thx

the neckline with the gathers looks like it might have been cut a little larger than needed and then lightly gathered to fit the neckline.
