This is a bit of a cheat on my behalf - this is my brother's wedding! I was a bridesmaid though, so it's ok! They got married in July last year in a castle in Malcesine which was literally hanging over Lake Garda in Italy. there was thunder and lightning for about 4 hours constantly before the wedding but it made it really dramatic and lovely. there were originally supposed to get married outside at the top of the tower at the top of the castle but that quickly became impossible! IN fact, my sister is convinced that while she was up there figuring out if it was going to happen at the tower or not it got struck my lightning!

The photographer put some of the pics up here http://mauropozzer.blogspot.com/2009/07/wedding-in-malcesine-matrimonio.html The guy in the tshirt holding the flowers is Gail's dad. He's hilarious!

Here are some others that I love;
this is my favourite one of my brother. It sums him up so well! http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/slideshow/AlbumID=2462266011/PictureID=95200655011/a=1357451011_1357451011/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/

This is the room they got married in, just before Gail walked up the steps and down the aisle. I love this one http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/slideshow/AlbumID=2462266011/PictureID=95223898011/a=1357451011_1357451011/otsc=SHR/otsi=SPIClink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/

The bridal party: My borther's friend, my nephew, me, my brother, his wife, her niece, her sister and her borther. The bridesmaid's dresses were amazing. I've even worn mine since. The shoes were stiletto sandals and were not so hot on the Italian cobbles. foruntalely, I brough flats that matched my dress. I even had to run back to the hotel to get the bride some flats because she was almost in tears alking around in hers! It pays to have common sense sometimes ;-)

The whole album of official photos is here http://www3.snapfish.co.uk/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=2462266011/a=1357451011_1357451011/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfishuk/ if anyone fancies a look. Be warned: there are nearly 600 pictures!

trickypink - your wedding looks like it was so fun!

lemonianta - oh, your dress is stunning! and the venue! *sigh*

blungoldangel - I love that your girls were in different colours!

Our wedding was late October, at lake front cottage resort... we had just enough nice weather to take shots of me & the mister, then everything else {including the ceremony} had to be inside.

Here are a few of my favorite snaps... you can see everything {and them some} on my blog: http://designedbyrj.blogspot.com/search/label/wedding

Our blue, green & pink! wedding party:

Me and my best woman, on our way to the photoshoot... notice the footwear. Yeah, it was pretty mucky out and I wasn't ruining my new shoes before the ceremony! *lol*

We got married on 22nd May this year, it was a fantastic day.  The wedding was in a Scottish woodland next to a waterfall and the reception in a local hotel.  We crafted lots of different items to try and save some money, I've put some photos below, hope you like our wedding diy!

This is my wedding day jewellery, I also made the bridesmaids and both mums a necklace each.

These are the bridesmaid flowers made of crepe and tissue paper;

This is a sign we made to hang above the door of the folly where we were married;

And a felt heart garland wrapped around the balcony of the folly, overlooking the river;

These are the programs, printed on our computer with a small vial of bubbles attached (we weren't allowed confetti at the site);

We made hundreds of these origami lilies for decoration;

I also made some smaller lilies to make these twig centerpieces for the reception;

Each table at the reception was named after a different native tree, the top table was oak so we made (actually my mum made, as I didn't have time!) the leaf out of felt and attached with florist wire onto a small slice of birch wood.

Each place name was a hand sanded slice of birch wood with their name written on and a picture of their table name;

The cake was designed by us but made by a friend of my mums, two layers chocolate and bottom layer fruit cake;

And finally a photo of us on the balcony of the folly where we were married;

Hope you liked them!

(The car is a 1920 Westcott motorcar- designed by the man for whom the house was built.) It was truly a privilege to be married here, but the real honor was marrying the man of my dreams! It was the best day of my life!

Okay, these are from August 2009, but after seeing this thread I really wanted to share!
My mom made my wedding dress from a Vogue pattern, and I made my my hair comb from some vintage earrings. My husband designed my ring, too, and it's based on one that my great-grandmother gave to my mom. It's hard to see it in the photo, but there are six diamonds going all the way around the ring, alternating between a plain round setting and a star-pattern setting.  I love it!

Just as I am
