Phew, glad I'm not the only one!  I've never normally been much of a list person, but this year I have so many presents and cards (now my aunt wants me to make some for her as well!) to make, that I'd never keep track of it any other way!

It's been a goal of mine for a long time to only make hand-crafted gifts (for all occassions, not just christmas).  I hope I can make some gifts this year, but I have a full schedule at school (18 credits) and I don't get done until Dec 23!  No time to craft OR shop!

ETA: If I do find some time, I want to make my sister a journal.  I don't know about anyone else, yet  Undecided  I've mostly posted here to get ideas!

Man, I am so poor this year that everyone knows they are getting hand made gifts for the holidays.  I have a short list completed so far with many more people to craft for.  Plus- I have three friends who will be having babies around the end of December or beginning of January.  So much to make!

So far-
Diorama for Friend
Socks for grandma, boyfriend, friend
scarf/hat set for wife of friend(don't know why they think they can request gifts)and she wants chenille.  I HATE chenille yarn!!
sweater for the dog
don't know what to make mom and stepdad
Gryffindor Scarf for Friend
I hope you guys can keep me motivated

oh- and I'm making all of my xmas cards this year

Kattghoti, how about making big batches of gift-type food (maybe fudge or cookies? liqueirs?) to give?  It's got to be faster than making individual presents and people will appreciate that you made an effort and they have something yummy to eat or drink!

That would be fine if I had friends...  But I don't, so the only people getting presents are family (immediate: Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother-in-Law, and boyfriend).  While I'm sure they'd appreciate it, I want something a little more substantial than food.

Hello!! Im new to this site and fairly new at crafting also.

This year, I would also like to make the majority of christmas gifts myself. I am also making my own christmas cards. If anyone is doing this also and needs some design ideas for christmas cards go to www.michaels.com.

One of things I would like to make this year for christmas are scarves. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get patterns or info on how to do this??

Thanks for your help!
