i just finished these two bags using jordy's wonderful tutorial Smiley.  i know they're not the most professional-looking, but I only learned how to use a sewing machine the other day and i'm totally loving it since i used to do everything by hand!
the purple bag is for my friend who is a singer/songwriter so i decided to add a little felt guitar.  the lining is a light lilac color and it has an inside pocket. the pink one is a little more girly and has a pocket on the front trimmed with lace. you can see the lining peeking out over  Wink

ah, you want cool pics?  i've been stealing Clipart from Mr. Bill Gates.  if you've got Word, you can search for almost anything and it will find it for you (but i may be bias as i have the newer MS Office, and it searches the Mircosoft Web Clipart files too).  then i print, cut, trace, and stitch away!!

Everything I know about sewing I learned in suture class.
