It was comfortable to wear but you couldn't walk in it.

However, the girl that made it also makes "walking tails," as well as tails you can actually swim in, which have diving fins sewn in.

OK, these are from all the way back in 1999, my son was 4, Kiss was doing there final final fairwell tour. He was Gene Simmons for Hallween, then the following January there was a Kiss look a like contest at the mall. Somehow we still had everything he wore from Halloween. He won first place for the best looking Gene and first place overall. The prize, a giant Paul Stanley bust. It was a lot of fun
(the pics are pictures I took of the page in my scrap book, so they are not the best, but you get the idea)

i made the hat, reconned the shirt, shorts, & tights, & found the army vest at a frat party... it had two beers & a disposable camera in the pocket, so my roomie & i drank the beers, took pictures of ourselves dancing, & left the camera & empty bottles on the couch. oops.

I have a friend who would no doubt like to marry you.

I am so jealous of the sockmonkey costume...especially since I promised my boyfriend I would make him one prior to seeing that photo! Now I'm intimidated!!!!

Last year I was She-Ra (I had never sewn anything before attempting this so be kind!)

This year I plan on being Cheetara from thundercats!

PS this is my first post and I think everyone on this site is so talented!!!

WOW! Shocked Thats all I can say!!  All these costumes are beyond great!! I love all of them, the mermaid, the maxi pad, the sock monkey...ahhh...there all just so great. Cheesy The best thing I think I have been was either Cinderella when I was 6 and I had these beautifull green dress my mom made me with a whole cone hat and everything, it was really pretty...and then a hershey kiss last year. I will try and see if I can find some pictures but I doubt it.

Eowynn, can you please share how you made the boot covers? I would LOVE some knee high boots, but I am, um, kinda chunky, and I can't zip most boots above my calves.

A pair of boot covers would be perfect for clubbing, though!
