yeah, that's one of the reasons i love being jewish. we jews have this one holiday called "purim" that usually happens in march where everybody dresses up, and the adults are commanded to get so drunk, they can't tell the difference between the good guy and the bad guy of the purim story. it's one of my favorite holidays. at my synagauge there are usually several guys in drag.

... anyway, this halloween i was willy wonka and by younger brother and my neighbor were my oompa loompas (from the new movie). my costume was made pretty much by raiding my closet, except for the hait, which i covered with a pair of pantyhose legs with help from my mom, and the goggles, which i was obsessive enough to buy.

Is Purim the one with the rattles that you shake whenever the bad guy comes along?

Great costume!

store bought because I had too much work for my party to get around to it....but my friends looked so awesome I just had to show it off...... We all went with an Alice in Wonderland theme.....I was Alice....ignore the weird look on my face....

On actual Halloween night, we went trick or treating (my friend from Germany had never been) and I went as a rocker fairy........I absolutely love the dress....My mom wore it to a disco where she met my dad....lol.....

I wish the wings were easier to see and its kind of umm sideways....teehee....sorry...  Grin

This year was mainly thrown together costumes, but I think last year was cooler....i made a corset and skirt and was Tinker Bells arch nemesis fairy in a purplish red themed color.....

my favorite costume would have to be Haruko from Fooly Cooly. I love that show and that costume is right on.
