I finally got a picture of the leg warmers... but only because I ended up making another pair because my friend wanted black ones for times she was going somewhere nicer than the neon pumpkin orange ones would allow. ^_-

Here they are on me, keeping in mind that I am several inches taller than my friend who these are for, and most of my height is in my legs:

It's hard to tell because of the angle, but they go two or three inches above my knees when worn this way.  I put an arrow pointing out roughly where my knee is. ^_^

I made these on the small blue loom, using Patons Melody.  I just did a basic e-wrap stitch until I was almost out of yarn (one skein per leg), then did the "stretchy" cast off.  I was hoping it would be a little bit stretchier than it is, but it's ok.

I'm planning on trying kids' mittens on it, but likely won't have time until the holidays to try it.

You could make little stuffies on it... and I think I saw someone making an egg on it.  I'll see if I can find the link today.

I made a stuffed snake with it.  I just knitted a tube about 30 or so inches long, stuffing it along the way.  I have directions for it on my blog.

I have a question for yall:

When starting a new color...do you tie it in or weave it in? I was weaving it in, but now I am having second thoughts on that cuz it seemed that there was a larger hole in it in the area where I had weaved it in...and I didnt notice it until like three times around.  Aaaaaaagh! So, what would you suggest?

I just weave it in, but to avoid the holes (I think I know what holes you're talking about) I make sure that the first place I weave the tail in is the stitch next to it, which is where the yarn would have come from if I hadn't changed colours.  The trick there is not having the colour visible from the right side... good luck with that. ^_-

Great job. I'm going to have to work on some of these.
