I've only made hats and flat panels that I stitched together into a bag. I plan on trying this pattern soon though:
http://www.provocraft.com/projects/projects.php?prdindex=kniftyknitter&dsp=project&idnum=13
Has anyone made these?
Ohhh...I wanna make some of those pumpkins...they are so cute... I have the whole knifty knitter set...I originally bought them cause I couldn't knit properly. But I quickly got bored of only making hats and scarves so I finally taught myself to knit...
Here are some of the projects I have made with the knify knitter...

The pictures aren't working on the other link to the pillow I made for the pillow swap. But I can tell you about it..it was a bolster pillow cover I made using the green hoop (I think) I just made a long tube and stuffed a pillow in it, but the outcome was really pretty. It took forever tho. When I was finished I wove some ribbon through the cover...I'm not explaining it well, but if anyone wants to see it, I can try and find the picture again.
Anyhoo, the knifty knitter is good fun, but you are quite limited when it comes to projects. I am definitly going to make some of those pumpkins tho, and I might make a pillow for me.

I found them at Wal-Mart for like $1 each. They are basically pamphlet sized--Knitting with the Knifty Knitter I and II. the second book shows how to use the rectangle loom which is why I bought it.
Other knitting loom books I have are:
In the Attic Round Loom Knitting Patterns
Quick 'n Easy Patterns on the Knit-A-Round
Lion Brand Yarn A Round Instruction booklet
I hope that helps you out.

I am almost done with my first pumpkin that i made on the red loom. I just need to make the stem and leaves for it and it will be finished.
It was really easy to make.

I just bought a knifty knitter and I would like to knit a Harry Potter scraf for my eight year old grandson. I have heard that the Harry Potter scrafs are knitted in the round and the ends closed with fringe. The Gryffindor colors are scarlet and gold. What I want to know is how to change colors so I can get the look of the scrafs in the movie. This scraf just looks perfect to be made on the knifty knitter.

To change colours with the knifty knitter is easy...all you have to do is when you want to change colours knit until you get to the beginning ( where the little front peg is) keep the old colour wrapped around the front peg (like you do when you are slipping the yarn over the pegs) slip the yarn over the pegs...and when you are ready to wrap the yarn again...just start with a new colour...after you have done a few rows, you can then tie the two colours together ...I hope that makes sense...it does in my head.
Here are a couple of sites to help you out...you should be able to find out how to switch colours on one of these sites...

Good luck...

I have a quick question, I'm new to the whole knifty knitter deal. I'm in the progress of making a scarf, but I can't find any instructions on how to actually "bind off" my work. I can bind of in regular knitting, but I seem to have a brain spazm when I try to figure out how to finish the work on the knitter. I understand the whole "drawstring" idea for a hat, but what about a straight edge?

I just take the loops off the pegs and transfer them onto the knitting needles and bind off the "old fashioned way."
