Hi all,

Does anyone know a place in Vancouver where I can buy foam? I want to make some large floor pillows / mats,  so I'm looking for large-ish sheets of foam, like the kind you could make a mattress out of, that I could cut to size/shape and sew covers for. I remember going by a storefront where they sold this stuff, but I cannot remember where it was.... Any suggestions?

The foam shop! There's two of them that I know of and off hand the only actual location I know is at Hastings and Salisbury (one block east of commercial).

They do custom cutting and have tons fo different types of foam.

I've done a few shows where the costumes required vast amounts of foam, and I always use old furniture from thrift stores. I'm not sure how it would work for cushions though because the stuff isn't necessarily super clean. But boy is it cheap. There's one place, I think it's SPCA, east side . . . .I'll try and remember exactly where. It had tons of super cheap furniture that you can source from.
